Drew Molitoris, Kansas City Director
Drew Molitoris first started working with Elite Hoops in 2004 as a camp coach. Over the past 6 years, Molitoris has served as camp coach and director at many of our NIKE summer camps and skills training clinics throughout the southeast. Beginning in 2010, he will be in charge of all Elite Hoops events in the Kansas City area.
For the past two years, Molitoris worked for the UMKC men's basketball program. He began as a graduate assistant and was later promoted to Director of Operations.
In his first year with UMKC, Molitoris handled many of the day-to-day operations for the Kangaroos. He assisted in arranging recruiting visits, oversaw the team managers and coordinated travel arrangements.
Before coming to Kansas City, Molitoris served as an assistant varsity boys basketball coach at Cattachoochee High School in Alpharetta, Ga., Prior to going to CHS, he spent the 2005-06 season as an assistant coach at Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, N.C. With the Crusaders, Molitoris was responsible for evaluating and recruiting high school and junior college student-athletes. He also prepared scouting reports, assisted with the strength and conditioning program and oversaw film exchange.
Before becoming a full-time coach, Molitoris was the graduate manager for the Florida State men’s basketball team during the 2004-05 season. While in Tallahassee, he worked with then Seminole assistant coach and current UMKC assistant coach Martin Unger on film preparation and he assisted with day-to-day operations.
From 1999-2002, Molitoris was a part of the Georgia men’s basketball program where he was a student assistant with the Bulldogs. During his time in Athens, Molitoris was a part of two NCAA Tournament teams in 2000-01 and 2001-02.
Molitoris earned his bachelor’s degree in health and physical education from the University of Georgia in 2004. He then received his master’s degree in physical education from Florida State University in 2005.
